The competition has come to a close as the time ticks past the hour. After many weeks competing many will be glad this competition has come to an end, especially those who are sitting pretty in the top three places and will pick up some nice cash prizes.

Our preliminary results show that ask-dir.com has finished in the number one spot and will pick up the first prize of over $2100 plus various other bonuses when Mike decides to publicise what they actually are! Hint Hint!

First of all we would like to congratulate the owners of ask-dir.com, they have consistently been in the top of the search results for the past few weeks that we have been monitoring the competition and in our opinion are deserved winners of the competition. We are all extremely pleased that the top spot has gone to a real directory and not just one that has been created solely for the purpose of entering this contest.

Please note that these results are just our preliminary results and that the final selection will be made by Mike and the sponsors of the competition. They have the nice task of going through all the top entries and ensuring that none of them have broken any of the rules of the competition.

As to our entry into the competition, we are dissapointed that we only managed to obtain 392nd postition in the results for Little Directory and our blog managed a fairly impressive 58th position. We all feel that we did as much as we could in the short space of time that we had to enter the competition however we don’t think our final position is reflective of our efforts or the quality of the directory we entered.

Next time this competition runs, if there is a next time that is… we will be much better prepared and we will be fighting hard for that number one spot. For now though, congratulations to those who have finished in the top 10, we will see you next time around.
