Since most SEO strategies are focused around the use of keywords, these tricks don’t seem to get exhausted. But before that, let me remind you (and I know that we have reminded you about this before too) that keyword over-stuffing is a big-big no. You should not have a keyword density of more than 2% on any page of your website. This is something so important that I can afford to be repetitive in telling you this again and again.
Well, this is a very simple trick and it actually forms a small part of a larger SEO strategy called “Keyword density regulation”. We have already seen that 2% is the recommended keyword density limit. But where do we use all the keywords that form 2% of the content e.g. for a 500 word content we get a quota of 10 keywords and we need to use these in the correct places in order to get the best results. Note that here we are not discussing the use of keywords in the title / Meta tags or in hyperlinks or ‘Alt’ property of images. The focus here is on the actual content and not the HTML tags.
The first claim on this quota is of the title or the heading of the article. The most important keyword should be part of the title. And yes the title should be catchy i.e. evoke interest in the readers.
The second claim, as you might have guessed, is of the sub titles / sub headings. We have already published a separate article just on this part of the strategy.
And the third claim is that of the first paragraph of the article / webpage. In fact, I must mention here that the first paragraph must be very well written in order to grab the attention of the reader / website-visitor. Even more important are the first two lines of content. So, you should try and have the most important keyword in the first sentence of your webpage. Another suggestion is to include a couple of keywords in the last paragraph of your web page content.
The remaining quota is completely at your discretion and you can exhaust it anywhere in the article.
So, this is a simple but very effective keyword-based SEO trick.
